Shameless Season 10 Episode 8 Recap:
Episode 8 starts with Paula mysteriously being killed. We do not see the murderer, but there is a chance it could be Ian or Mickey, both of whom were trying to get out from under her. Meanwhile, Lip and Tami have their oasis of calm before Fred wakes up. They are a little worried about if he is sick, and whether the daycare will accept him in that case.

Debbie turns out to not be a prostitute, and it was the fault of the woman she slept with. She clears up the misconception, much to the chagrin of this woman, who offers her to keep the money and treat herself well. Ian and Mickey have to face the inevitable police questioning for Paula’s murder. Meanwhile, Frank brings Faye home, and she seems like an easy target for Frank at first. Faye confesses that she has a large house with many bottles of scotch that her father collected. On the downside, she believes the house is haunted. Frank is all for exorcising the spirits, while he partakes in some fine spirit himself.

Both Mickey and Ian believe that the other might have committed the crime and hit upon the conclusion that getting married will keep them out of jail, as they cannot testify against the spouse. Frank’s dreams turn to a nightmare in Faye’s house as she handcuffs him to the bed and accuses him of having ruined her relationship with her fiance in the past, getting him jailed by giving drugs to the man.

Ian and Mickey have their own falling out about getting married to avoid jail, which is even more compounded because the real culprit is soon caught. Ian expresses he is unsure about the marriage but loves Mickey, who storms off. Debbie lets her friend know that the gifts being showered on her makes her feel more like a prostitute, and the two decide to have a fresh start.

Meanwhile, Fred does fall sick, forcing Lip and Tami to leave him with Tami’s aunt. Although the woman is sweet and offers to give Lip and Tami some alone time for a date, she is racist. Ultimately, the new parents decide that their kid will have no guardian as nothing will happen to them. Thus, the episode sees a lot of storylines progress, leaving some in very tantalizing spots. It remains to be seen how the next episode carries this forward.
